The North Andover Planning Board held a public hearing on
September 13, 1988, in the Town Hall , Selectmen' s Meeting Room, upon the
application of Aalerud Oomppany, R . William Aalerud ( Princ . ) , 365 Woburn
Street, Wilmington, MA. The hearing was duly advertised in the North
Andover Citizen on August 25 and September 1 , 1988 for a tearing date of
September 8, 1988 . The September 8th Meeting was oanceled due to the
Jack of a quorum. Parties of interest were notified. The following
members were presents Paul Hedstrom, Chairman; George Perna,
Vice-Chairman; Erich Nitzsche and Michael Leary. John Simons, Clerk
arrived at 8: 1a p. m.
The petitioner seeks a Special Permit under Section 8 . 3 of the
North An4over Zoning Bylaw. The purpose of the Site Plan Review is to
review the proposal to construct a 1 , 719 sq. ft. addition to an existing
building for office/retail on lend containing 49 ,480 sq. ft . on the north
side of Route 114 in a Village Residential (VR) Zoning District.
Erich Nit sahe read the legal notice to open the public
hearing. Letters were received and read from the State D. P. W. and the
applic-ant,
Scott Stocking, TQwTi Planner, stated that the Board of Appeals
has granted a special Permit for the continuing of a non--conforming uoe
and a variance of 100' setback regulation on Route 114 .
The applicant, in his letter, has asked for a continuence of the
public hearing until September 22nd. A Motion was nYede by George Perna
to continue the public hearing until September 22 , 1988 . The motion was
seconded by Michael Leary and the Board voted unanimously to continue
the public hearing,

On September 22 , 1988 the Planning Board held a meeting , 'the '
following membere were present] Patel Nedstrom, Chairman; George Perna,
Mice-Chairman; John Simons , Clerk; Erich Nitzsche and Michael Leary.
Bill Aalerud was present and gave the Board a description of
what was being proposed . The addition is approximately 1 , 700 sg. ft. ipr
office , retail and storage . The site is 1740 Turnpike Street, Girl
Scott spar and Spindle Council .
Followings a brief discussion between Erich Nitzsche and the
applicant on the mitigation of rust-off and the Town Planner, Scott
Stocking, on acceleration and deceleration lanes , George Perna made a
motion to close the public hearing and take tote matter under
advisement. John Simons seconded the motion. Erich Nitzsche wanted
details on the leach pits . The Board noted unanimously to close the
public hearing.
One October 6 , 1988 the Planning Basra held a meeting . The
following members were presents Paul Redstrom, Chairman; George Perna,
Vice-Chairman and Erica Nitzsche . John Simons arrived at Ss30 p.m. .
Michael Leray arrived at 9 , 23 p. m.
A motion was made by John Simons to aPProve the site plan based
on the written decision. The motion was seconded by Erica Hit.zsche and
the hoard voted unanimously to approve the site plan .
