Minutes Attendance Members Present: David VanArsdale {Chair}, Lucius Michel {Tentative Vice-Chair}, Quentara Costa {Secretary}, Maria Rosati {Treasurer}, Patricia Riley, Jennifer Abou-ezzi, Dr. Harry Kaloustian, Remo Zimbaldi, Eileen Elliot Others Present: Kathy Shelp, Director of Elder Affairs; Paula Lynch, Administrative Secretary Call to order: 9:00 AM Roll call was read by Dave VanArsdale. Minutes: The June minutes were approved unanimously via roll call on a motion by Jen Abou- ezzi and seconded Patricia Riley. Night Out Planning, Lucius Michel and Kathy Shelp: Kathy received an invitation for August 2. Staff working the event is optional since it’s not normal working hours, so volunteers from board is helpful – but not everyone is required. Advocacy Committee Report, Lucius Michel: Successful meeting with the RMV, meeting minutes provided to board for review. RMV action items have been completed. They’ve already revised some of their communications and delivery method. Kathy says the letter that’s been revised is materially better. Harry is pleased with this outcome and feels this is the purpose of the board and having an annual report to set goals. Other suggestions from the board for next initiatives were made, ie) registrations for newly moved seniors, troubleshooting and communicating with cable companies Update on Senior Center, Kathy Shelp  Van at the shop to see if AC can be fixed  Conference went very well, everyone really stepped up to make it a great event. Feedback very positive. o 316 units of service. o $9,960 cost with a $7,800 grant to apply toward it and the related marketing ($4,500 marketing cost – but had material impact in generating interest in the event and senior center). Paula spoke on the assisted rides program, MVRTA, NEET. and van to address a question by Harry. Nominating Committee Report, Quentara Costa:  2 board + 2 associate positions open. Working on scheduling 2 interviews Adjournment at 9:45 A.M., by a motion by Harry Kaloustian, seconded by Dave VanArsdale, unanimously agreed.
