Re: Special Permit rnernorandurn for Family Suite
We are submitting this application for a Special Permit for construction of an
addition to serve as a Family Suite at our property located at 161 Campbell Road.
The purpose of the proposed addition is to have any son, his wife and slaughter to
move back to North Andover and be part of the community he grew up in, My son
and daughter-in-law are planning for additional children and will need a Iar er
home. M y wife and 1 would move into the family suite,which would consist of a
small kitchen, half bath, and I ivi ng area. Tire second tioor woulsl consist of one
bedroom, full bath with laundry and walls-in closet
Tho specil`ic site is sufficiently large for the construction of the proposed addition
and an appropriate location for the family suite. The addition will be located to the
right side of the current home, as viewed from the street, which will meet all of the
set back requirements and not need a variance for the setbacks, It will be
constructed in a manner that will maintain the appearance of the building as a
single-family home.The addition will be slightly larger than the 2S°lo of the gross
floor area of the principle unit and we would he seeping a variance for the additional
square footage.
The current home is setback about 100' feet f-om the road and will trot create an
nulsance of hazard to vehicles or pedestrians. We will not be seeking any additional
parking or driveway.
The facilities of the addition are adequate and appropriate for its use as a family
suite. The use of the addition as a Family suite is in harmony with the purpose and
intent of the Zoning Bylaw as a residential property.
