The plans have been revised as follows to address your comments. 1. The holder of the drain easement has been added to the plans. The holder is the Town of North Andover. 2. The proposed impervious areas have been shaded to make them more apparent on the plan. 3. The drain line inverts and materials have been added to the plans. All of the drain lines are above the ESHGW found under the septic system and the stormwater structures. Additional ground water elevations under the stormwater structures have been added to the plans. 4. The foundation drain and its discharge location are shown on the plan. 5. The distribution box detail has been revised to include its placement on 6" of crushed stone. 6. The distribution box notations have been revised to indicate risers to within 6" of finish grade. 7. The system profile and system plan views have been revised to indicate the 3/8" — 5/8 " orifice size on the perforated pipe. 8. The distance between the primary trenches and the reserve area trenches has been shown on the system plan view and the end section view. 9. The existing grade has been shown on the profile. The craftsmanship was all good but then we shot elevations and something seemed off. As we were trying to figure out what was going on the engineer called the installer to tell him that his construction was wrong and the leach trenches were not correctly built. At least that confirmed that I was not going crazy.... So unfortunately they need to re-build the leach trenches (again)and have them checked by the engineer(again)and then have us back out to confirm. Not sure if that is because they bought it about 3 months ago and had it sitting at the job site where it got dirty, or if they didn't know that they needed to acquire double washed stone. Frankly, the engineer should have picked up on that before we even went out there. They will need to remove the stone, have a bed bottom inspection completed, and then have another final construction inspection. 2.The pipe penetration exiting the septic tank looked askew. It is important that it is watertight so I asked them to expose the area beneath the pipe where it comes out of the tank and to fill the tank with water and then show us that it is holding water and not leaking. I expect it is fine but want to make sure. I will be charging the Town for a second final construction inspection. Not sure if you want to eat that or pass that along as an expense to the installer but wanted to give you a heads up so you could be prepared. Any questions do let me know. As mentioned at the site I would like the onsite fill used up to an elevation that is one foot below the bottom of the trenches. From that point imported Title 5 sand should be used.
