HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-12-19 400 Great Pond Road Steering Committee Minutes 400 Great Pond Road Steering Committee Minutes of December 19, 2022 Present: Richard Vaillancourt, Jim Stanford, Jean Enright,Willie Vicens, Steve Foster, Ron Rudis,Jerry Brecher,Norma Lochmann,Peter Boynton, John Simons, John Weir Call to Order 6:30 pm Public comment: none received Discussion related to site visit conducted Friday,December 16,2022: Exceptional view,parcel is steeper than expected, Town benefits from owning as much property around the Lake as possible,there is no way to prevent water from entering the house, which could result in mold, rot and moisture, a structural assessment of the dwelling has not been conducted. Peter Boynton communicated that he feels the goals are to protect the water supply, a positive purpose for the Town passive recreation, and historic value (maybe consult with Ben Osgood,Nate Stevens,Mr. Saxe, Historic Properties of New England, Kathy Syska). Ron Rudis will take lead on the historical significance. Proposed meeting schedule: Jerry Brecher made a motion to accept the meeting schedule. John Weir seconded the motion. The vote was 11-0 in favor. Public Input: • Development of a survey to solicit public input: Ron Rudis will follow up with Jim Lafond to see what survey questions associated with the Stevens Estate were asked. Survey format may be Flash Vote. Members were asked to come up with a few questions for the next meeting. • Invite public to an upcoming meeting for input: February 16, 2023 was targeted for public input. Town Counsel: The following items will be carried to the next agenda. • Provide a detailed review of the Conservation Restriction(CR) • Does the CR restrict recreational activity for the Town? • Advise on the Open Meeting Law specific to the Committee. Operations&Maintenance: Steve Foster provided a summary of costs to date, ongoing expenses, future needs, and public us improvements that would be necessary. Old Business: • A webpage has been established under the"Boards and Committees"tab on the Town's homepage. Agendas and minutes will be posted to the page. • A generic email address has been added to the page (400gpr@northanodverma.gov). The emails will be directed to the Chair an myself for now. • Everyone who didn't have a Town email account should the received an email from the IT Department to create one. • Include building envelop on the CR map. Adjournment: Jerry Brecher made a motion to adjourn,which was seconded by Willie Vicens. The vote was 11-0 in favor of adjournment.
