HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-12-14 Old Center Historic District Commission Minutes DRAFT Old Center Historic District Meeting Minutes of December 14, 2022 Meeting called to order at 6:45pm Motion made my Leslie Frazier and seconded by Laurie Belsito In attendance Michael Linihan Leslie Frazier Laurie Belsito Harry Aznoian Ryan Schruender. Public hearing for cert of appropriateness for 10-12 Johnson at Applicant Michael Donovan spoke to the repairs Talked about the porch has been fixed many times over the years and needs a total rehab Some water has been coming into the house as a result of the issues with the porch.Everything between top roof and bottom deck will need to be replaced Proposed to replace six windows on top part of porch. Posts on the bottomof the porch. Applicant will keep the brackets on both sides of posts.They will replace front siding with cement board or cedar. Replace corner boards with 5 ¾ inch PVC boards Windows will be six over one vinyl Stone foundation will stay in place 4 inch exposure on the siding Install new 5 inch aluminum gutter Adding crown molding under the aluminum gutter in the packet the crown molding is 2592 Both sides of the house the siding is being replaced with cement board or cedar. The trim around the windows will be wood. Harry opened it up for discussion Laurie said the package is comprehensive and gives a lot of details.She did want to clarify that the sides are being done as well.Applicant stated it is Ryan Michael and Leslie all did not have any additional comments Harry did mention this makes the windows semetrical to the rest of the porch. Motion made to approvereplacement offront porch per the drawings submitted. Six windows six over one.53/4 corner boards wood or pvc. Either cementboard or cedar for the siding with a four inch exposure.Four posts will be replaced as submitted with the cut sheets.Five inch gutter add at top of porch with molding number 2592. Existing post brackets to remain. Motion made by Harry Aznoian and seconded by Laurie Belsito Motion passes 5-0 Next item on the agenda is a cert of non applicability for 137 Andover st. Bob Murray is proposing to replace the existing roof at Stevens Coolidge with aAlaskan yellow cedar roof. They plan to use a cedar-breather under payment to match existing. Drip edge and base flashing will be copper with lead counter flashing on chimney to match existing. Motion made to determine the replacement of roof is not applicable with the correct condition if any architectural element is changed they would need to come back to the commission .
