Re: Redaction in Height of Proposed
Hanger on Lawrence Municipal Airport
Case# 2004-ANE-8I-NRA
Dear Mr. Gross:
The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) has reevaluated your hanger development proposal on the
Lawrence Municipal Airport. The proposal is referenced as Case##2004-ANE-8I-NRA.
.FAA does not have an aeronautical objection to the revised proposal because you have reduced the hanger
height to eliminate the line of sight obstruction for the air traffic control tower. According to your letter dated
April 19, 2005,you have agreed to lower the height of the proposed hanger to 28 feet for a total elevation of 170
feet AMSL. This new height will eliminate all line of sight issues for the Tower Manager.
Thank you for working with tower personnel to resolve this issue.
The determination has been with respect to the safe and efficient use of airspace by aircraft and with respect to
the safety of persons and property on the ground. In making this deteriination, the FAA has considered matters
such as effects on existing airspace structure and projected programs of the FAA; the effects that existing or
proposed man-made objects (on file with FAA) and known natural objects within the affected area would have
on the proposal.
This determination in no way preempts or waives any ordinances, laws or regulations of any other governmental
body or agency. This determination in not meant to imply the proposal has been found to be environmentally
acceptable in accordance with existing national environmental policies and objectives.
