than 35 feat if,the center secti op vvh irh is 3 feet higher at 38 feet. I looked at risd u r,ing the height
to cum ply with the bylaw but the roof became too short in relation to the rest of-the house and the
prop ortians became visuall y unacceptable. The house will sit in a field ali by itgell with no other houses
near it, so no one will ever notice that the center section of the house is above the ma ximm m building
W9 ht. The e I ovation of Great Pond Road is actual ly.above t:hL-propery, so as you drive by, for the most
part, you will actually be looking down 0 n the house and the property.

The purpose of any bylaw is to 1nhance aTiid strengthen the character of the town and the neighborhood.
The design of this house will clearly strengthen and inhance the clualiity and the value of both the Town of
North Andover and this neighborhood. I'm sure once this house is built, the properties vaivas of this
neighborhood will rho up.

This is the owner's dream house. They have wanted to built it for yaars. We now have a dosign that they
love and it fits the ti'adMonal character of the town and the neighborhood. If a varlance is not given it will
more than likely set thews rack at least a year ... acid substantially to their design costs ... and rot}theta of
a year they could be enjoying living in the house.

The only portion of the house that is abovem the building height limit is the center portion of the roof ...tho
majority of the house is at or irelow the allowable height. This small increase irk hofght at only the center
soct Ion will never Cie noticed by anyone. We have been working on this; house -plan for than-
decades and have wonted out all other corktiRgencies except heighe.
