1967 at 7~30 P.M. fu the To~n Office B~ding. The following meaberm were present

M~. Dr~ read the legal notice. Mr. Wayne Pavle~-~_-~ appeared on his ~
Behalf stating that the division of the lot into two parcels would not Be out of
line with the surrounding neighborhood. Denial of the petition would cause hi~
financial h_n~dshAp in that he wished to convey the property to his sc~ so that he
could build a hone upon it.
There was no oppoeiti~ to the petiti~. A letter was received fr~ an abutte~
as being t~ favor of the petition aa presented.
~r. Shielda nade a motion to take the petition ~der advisement.

MOVING OF OFFICE:
The Board of Appeals, P~*~-_~ Board and ~_1~,~ Inspector will be moved
downstairs in the T~en B-~_~-~ in the effieee formerly oe~ied by the Welfare
Dept. The members diseusse~ what supplied wo~ he neede~ and of s~ three
departments po_~4w8 expenses.
FENCE - W_n3~e~ Apartments.
A letter was received from Atty. Willi! requent~-~ permission to eree% a
~pli% rail fence a% the Walker Real~ Trust apartnent developm~at on Mn~" St.
One of the eonditi~ns of the dec~nic~ was that pernisalon to eree% a fence mu~t
be reeeived fx~m tbs Board.

Ee said he now has e~tplete plans which he failed to subni% as pronised. He said
it was an oversight n~_d that a oopy of the plans had ~een given to the Bldg. In~p.
when application waa nade for a building permit.
The special per. it was issued for 200 ~te. 126 apartments have bee~ e~nstr~te~.
They now plan to build the additional 74 a~%s. He ~ a larg®sketeh of
an additional layeut.

Atty. Willie said plan was recorded in April, which is Plan No. 5213.
Mr. Shields said he would like to have ,a copy of the site plan of record whieh
would show the signatures of the Board.
Atty. Willis said he oould get ~e. He gave the Board a oopy of the complete
plot pl~, and said they expedt to build the additional 74 a~ta witM- a
year - possibly early next year. ~e stated that he hea beon authorized to
suggest that t ere is no further requirement by the Tc~n that any of the way~
will be aecepte~ by the T~m. They are going to.he on private property. Nen~
of the ways shown on this proposed additional development ~ be ever sx~mitte~
to the To~n for aoeeptanee as public ways.
Mr. Shieldn said that they c~ig~a~]y said none of the streets ~re ever g~8 to
he aeoepted aa public ways. Test~_~y at the original hearing led the Beard to
believe this.
Atty. Willis ~ he never ~ade such a statement. He ~an ~-~y ~ that he sai~
it wcmxld not ~ the Tc~ anything .for garbage disposal. He said he never made
say statement about the streets and that hie client agreed with ~
The Board read ~ ~f the minutes of.the ori~d~al h~ri~_g to refresh Atty. W~-~eme
A dissuasion was held regar~-g other apartment developments, layout of ~treets, eta.
Atty. Willie e~*~ad that the additional apartments w~ be eonaistent with the
present ones.
Mr. Shields said the Board oould set Att~. Wild=is up for a supple~ntsry review for
the 74 additional apartments.
Mr. Shields thanked Atty. Willis for attending the meeting and made- a motion to
take the rotter under advisement.
Mr. S~o%t seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
SEGADELLI: Essex Street.
A f~m-'l decree was received f~ma the Superior Court reversing the ~e~isic~
of the Board of Appeals in granting John Segadelli the subdivision of iota.
ALaF, RT STEINBERG:
A letter was reeeived from the Bank say~-; Albert Steinberg ha~ applied for
a loan to build a 4 unit aparta~nt buil&*-~. The Board felt that this wa~ not
sufficien~ proof ad.ce he had only applied and there was neth~-8 to ~__~w that it
had bean granted.
It was decided to give Hr. Steinberg until the regular August meeting to oca~ly
with the Board's wishes.
AMENDMENT TO ZONING BY-LAW~
Charle~ Fost,e.r discussed the aw~_ndment to Section 6.61 regarding ~ lots.
He said he would"~o see it e~nfor~ to the State a~atute and eliminate 6.61 entirely.

The Board discussed the ax~k proposed article regarding apartments. Mr. Shields
expl*~ed why the article was drawn up this ~ay. It would allow for Studio and
1 b~lroo~ apartments.

Mr. O'Leary ~ade a motioa not to sign the plans sub~i%ted because there ~as not
a sufficient nuaber of copies. Mr. Di~--~ad seconded the motion-and the vote
The Board signed the necessar~ vouchers.
The Board discussed the petition. Mr. OtLeary ~ade a motion to n~_~y the
pe%itima. Mr. Shielde seconded the ~otion. The B card discussed the ~atto~
f~ther. It was noted that there was a garage a~w~et o~ the proposed new
line. The general feeling of the Board was to granting the petition wer~ it not
for the. existence of said ~arage. Aceor~_-~ly, and so as not to i~pose an
unnecessary burden on the petitioner, it was decided to re~,-est the petitioner to
attend the next sitting of the Board to discuss the proble~ of the g~x*age.
Mr. Scott ~ade the motion to recall Mr. Pavledakes to racet with the Board at the
next meeting. Hr. Drv~ond seconded the motion and the vote ~ae

Mr. Shields ~ade a motion to approve the fence requested by Walker Realty Trust
for their apart=en% develop~en% on F~- Street. Mr. Druss~n~ seconded the motio~
and the vote ~s ~. ~
