HomeMy WebLinkAbout- Correspondence - 94 MAIN STREET 1 2/17/2023 (3) 1/9/23, 11:51 AM Town of North Andover Mail-Sorry I meant to ask NORTH ANDOVER Massachusetts Stephen Casey<scasey@northandoverma.gov> Sorry I meant to ask Stephen Casey<scasey@northandoverma.gov> Mon, Dec 19, 2022 at 9:34 AM To: Dean Jevons <dean.jevons@fourpointspm.net> Cc: Taesoo Ahn <dlook0012@hotmail.com> Dean and Taesoo, I am reaching out as I need an update on the status of the repairs remaining at 94 Main Street. This housing complaint has been open for over 3 months despite all repairs being given no longer than a 10 day deadline. On top of this, "repairs"that have been made to the roof have not fixed the problem. There has still been leaks observed in the living room despite a receipt(which did not note anything but the address and a charge at the bottom) being submitted. Permanent repairs must be made to solve the issues with the roof, and a receipt(or written narrative from the repair company) showing proof of work done for the roof must be submitted to me upon completion. All repairs must be completed by no later than January 9th, 2023. For convenience, I attached the list below showing the remaining items. •✓ he stairs to the basement have a continuous railing, however it appears debris was created during the Installation.Any construction debris or dust created during repairs needs to be cleaned. The door is self-closing, however it is not self-locking. Per the Housing Code 410.480(c)the main entry door of a dwelling with more than 3 units shall be so designed or equipped so as to close and lock automatically with c%P a lock... This door must self-lock and occupants must have keys to the locking mechanism. `-• The windows appear fixed except for the ones in the main bedroom (to the left of the kitchen). These still are c,,ta• unable to be locked. Both the tenant and myself tried to lock the window and it did not work. This must be repaired to lock correctly. ®• The ceiling in the living room still has evidence of leaks. The side closest to the outside of the building has spots on tiles that appear to be from a leak or leaks in the roof. Investigate the source of the leak and repair the issue, whether this is the roof or another area. Repair or replace all water damage found. 4-4,-rL"I The toilet is constantly running. This was not noted initially, but may be due to it being removed when the floor k r.,L A - was repaired. Repair the toilet to function as intended. 6 •/The ceiling light closest to the stove in the kitchen was out during today's re-inspection. Repair the light in the 'h •/ kitchen to work properly. The second ceiling light flicker d a bit and then turned on, but it may be worth investigating this light while the other one is repaired. There was an outlet cover missing in the living room (on the wall closest to the bathroom). Replace this outlet cover. As soon as repairs are completed you must notify me so I may reinspect.
