Shed & Fence Installation
Conservation Conditions of Approval, Small Project Permit NACC #302
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 (A) of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,
Kristian.Prescott, filed for. a Small Project Permit application for the installation of a 6-foot-high
privacy fence along 150 feet of the easterly property line, located just outside of the 50' NBL at its
closest point as well as installation of a 6' x 10' shed,located approximately 90-feet from the
Bordering Vegetated.Wetland (BVW). Both the shed and the fence will be installed within all
established woodland.The sheet will be placed on a latter of stone, and will not require footings or
any type of foundation. In order to install the fence, a few trees that had been previously felled will
need to be removed within the 100'BZ,as well as some invasive Burning Bush / Errorrylrrlis alalrrs,
located just outside of the 100'buffer:none.
During the March 9, 2023 public meetitng, the North Andover Conservation Commission (NACC)
found this project to qualify as a Small Project Permit and voted unanimously to approve this
project as proposed under Category "C"- `Sherlf or olher owbilildir�gs of less tharr 100 square feel; which we

below. The project is approved otnly as it relates to the Conseivation Commission and any and all
other approvals should be obtained by the applicant/homeowner.

The following conditions are hereby mandated:
CONDITIONS:
1. A pre-construction meeting with the. Conservation Department, the fence contractor and the
homeowner shall be scheduled to review means and inethods of proposed work,review
vegetation pruning/removal in preparation of fence installation and conditions of this
pernut.
2. Excess soils frorn fence post holes shall be taken off site or moved to an area outside of the
100' buffer zone.
3. A 6-inch gap shall retrain between the bottom of the fence and the ground surface to
allow for wildlife passage and surface water flow
4. A post-construction inspection with the Conservation Department shall be scheduled to
verify co:inpliance.
The applicant, homeowner and their contractors are advised that NO other work on the
property is allowed under this permit. The NACC has jurisdiction over all the wetlands,
associated 100-Foot buffer zones and 200-Foot Riverfront Area on site and any work
that involves ,ground disturbance or changing the current conditions in these areas will
require permitting with the NACC. This includes, but are not limited to, house additions,
pools, patios, decks, sheds, fences, garden beds, landscaping and bridge installation, tree, or
vegetation cutting pruning. These activities shall be held to the current standards under the
Bylaw and WPA.
