Re: site plan review of West Side Hangar Associates by VHB Inc (prof # 06716.57).
Mr. McIntosh:
We are in receipt of your review dated 8/5/02 and offer the following responses to
the your comments:
1. The building elevations provided are of a type typical of manufactured
buildings to be used. If the project is approved, shop drawings will be provided to the
Building Dept.
2. There are no trees greater than 12" caliper existing within that area of the site.
3. An additional elevation 145 contour has been added to the paved parking area.
4. The attached specification, reproduced from Data Book For Civil Engineers
Design P edition by Elwyn E Seelye section 10-54 and 10-56, establishes that the
proposed design is sufficient for aircraft at a secondary airport which Lawrence
Municipal Airport is (see attached).
5. The proposed sewer line is designed to service both structures.
6. A detail for dumpster fence screen has been provided (see attached).
7. The zoning offset are taken from the property line and not the lease lines.
8. A copy of the decision is enclosed (see attached).
9. The side setback for Zone 1-2 is 100' when it abuts a residential zone.
10. The existing buildings are only shown as a reference to orient oneself to the
proposed building site location.
11. The construction detail has been changed to a"900 v-notch weir".
12. The project does not need to conform to DEP stormwater management
because there is no point source discharge within a buffer zone to a resource area (see
attached NOI form).
13. The"Stormwater Level Spreader"has been identified on the plan.
14. The North Andover Fire Dept. has been consulted and are satisfied by the
incorporation of sprinklers within the buildings which are not required by code.
