I .RIDGEWOOD CEMETERY REQUEST
A.ATTORNEY JOHN SMOLAK, REPRESENTING RIDGEWOOD, ASKED THE COMMISSION TO
SUPPORT A REQUEST FOR CPA FUNDING TO DIGITIZE CEMETERY RECORDS DATING FROM
1849. ATTORNEY SMOLAK STATED THAT THE DIGITIZED RECORDS WILL BE KEPT AT
RIDGEWOOD AND ACCESSIBLE FOR PUBLIC USE.
B. LIMPERT MADE A MOTION, SECONDED BY WILLIAMS TO APPROVE THE REQUEST.
APPROVED 7-0.
II.HISTORICAL SOCIETY REQUEST
THE NORTH ANDOVER HISTORICAL SOCIETY ASKED THE COMMISSION TO WRITE A LETTER
CONFIRMING THAT THE ARTIFACTS REFERENCED IN THEIR CPA APPLICATION ARE OF
SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL VALUE. DOWD MADE A MOTION, SECONDED BY
WEFERS TO APPROVE THE LETTER. APPROVED 6-0.
III. VICE-CHAIRMAN POSITION
STAN LIMPERT SUBMITTED HIS RESIGNATION AS VICE CHAIR. DOWD MADE A MOTION,
SECONDED BY WILLIAMS TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION. APPROVED 7-0.
IV. 169 CHESTNUT STREET....DEMOLITION OF A BUILDING ON THE PROPERTY.
A. RON EXPLAINED THAT THE TIMELINE EXPIRED BEFORE THE NAHC WAS ABLE TO
INSPECT THIS PROPERY FOR POSSIBLE DEMOLITION DELAY RESTRICTIONS.
B. AT THIS DATE THE DEMOLITION REQUEST HAS NOT BEEN ACTED UPON.
V. THE OLD BURYING GROUND
A. RON REPORTED THAT THERE IS $9,000 DOLLARS REMAINING FROM A CPA
GRANT AWARDED TO THE NAHC FOR REPAIR OF GRAVES IN THE OLD BURYING GROUND.
B. KATHY DESCRIBED THE WORK DONE BT THE FANNINS FUNDED BY THAT GRANT. SHE
MENTIONED THAT THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS AND HAVE AN ACTIVE WEB-SITE.
C. RON SUGGESTED THAT MEMBERS MEET AT THE OBG AT4:30 NEXT TUESDAY, MAY
91 TO LOOK OVER THE SITUATION AND GET A N IDEA OF WHAT WORK IS NEEDED.
D. THERE WAS A SHORT DISCUSSION OF THE REMNANTS OF STONE MARKERS WHICH
ARE CURRENTLY STORED IN THE PARSON BARNARD BARN.
VI. NORTH ANDOVER MASTER PLAN
A.JAY DOWD, FORMER NAHC REPRESENTATIVE ON THE MASTER PLAN COMMITTEE
REMINDED COMMISSION MEMBERS THAT MASTER PLAN SUGGESTIONS CAN BE READ ON-
LINE.
B.JAY SAID THAT MAJOR AREAS OF DISCUSSION HAVE BEEN AFFORDABLE HOUSING,
COMMUTER PLANS AND ROADS.
C THE CHAIR SOLICITED A VOLUNTEER TO SERVE ON THE MASTER PLAN
IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE AS JIM WEFER'S TERM IS ENDING IN JUNE. NO VOLUNTEERS
WERE FORTHCOMING.
VII. 400 GREAT POND ROAD
A.RON REVIEWED THE ISSUES CONNECTED TO THE PROPERTY ON THE LAKE...NOW
OWNED BY THE TOWN
VIII. A MOTION WAS MADE BY WILLIAMS AND SECONDED BY DOWD TO ACCEPT THE MARCH 6,
2023 MINUTES. APPROVED 7-0.
THE NEXT NAHC MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2023 AT 5PM
THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 6:30 PM
