Old Center Historic District Meeting
April 5, 2023
Meeting called to order at 6:40PM

Harry Azarion made a motion to open the public hearing for 100 Osgood street seconded by
Mike Lenihan
Eric Hanson Hanson Renovation spoke on behalf of the applicant Cassy Martineau
Harry brought up they are looking to replace a door on front and side replace door trim with PVC
Harry asked if they are keeping the same footprint of the current deck and Eric said yes. They
will have a composite deck and white pvc trim all vertical trim will be white
There was agreement among everyone that what they planned to do looked great

Harry brought up the style of door that looks more like a colonial door. Although this house may
the style of the house.
match it exactly due to the new door being made with a slightly different style
Everyone on the committee stated they are ok with the style door they are proposing.
Kathy just wanted to make sure it is the same size.
A motion to vote in favor for the six panel door was made by Leslie Frazier and seconded by
Mike Lenihan
Motion was passed 7-0
The third piece was brought up by Harry. The windows on either side of the door . Harry
brought up the windows being presented are not the same as what is there. They are proposing
a double hung window vs right now it is a 12 light single pane solid window. Currently the Grid
is outside of the window,. What proposed has the grids between the glass
Cassy Martineau (homeowner) said the windows currently have the grid interior windows.
Ryan brought up the width of the midsection of the window may change the look for what is
currently there, however, Harry brought up the neighbor down the street already has the current
look and this would match that.
Mike brought up he wants to make sure the window lights look oblong and not square.
Harry clarified they will be using PVC for the trim. Eric mentioned he will try and match the trim
as close as possible
A motion was made to vote in favor of replacing the windows on either side of the door with
double hung Six over six windows with 4 inches additional height to the windows same current
width Trim to be PVC to match current trim as best as possible. Motion made by Harry and
seconded by Roger Lawson
Motion passed 7-0.
Roger Larson made a motion to open the public hearing for 58 Osgood street for the
replacement of a wooden picket fence and replace the cedar shingles on the side of the barn.
Leslie Frazier seconded it.
Mike Lenihan excused himself.
Harry talked about this may be exempt since they are replacing what is currently there with
something matching it.
A motion was made for a certificate of non applicability for 58 OSgood street. Motion made by
Kathy Szyska and seconded by Roger Lawson.
Motion passed 6-0.
Motion made to approve the meeting minutes from 7/7/22,9/29/2023, 11/17/22.12/14/22.
Motion made by Laurie Craney and seconded by Ryan Schruender.
In the minutes from 9/29 it is mentioned Mark Svenson is part of the historical commission but
the correct title is he on the historical society.
Also the current spelling of all commissioners names.

Motion made to adjourn the meeting by Mike Lenihan and seconded by Roger Lawson.
Meeting adjourned at 7:43PM on April 5, 2023.
