1. Clark Street to be swept,by a self-powered driven sweeper, every Friday afternoon. If necessary
the developer will sweep as directed by the DPW.The time duration for sweeping_ will be daring
demolition and new construction.

4. The developer shall coordinate all work with the installation of the new water main by the Town.
S. The drain between DMH5 and DflAH4 appears to interfere with the old and new water main.A
cross section of the prnnosed and exisflno utilities including Woad surface is needed at this
location.

suitable to receive surtace waters.

Today I met with Mr.Brian Gagne of Ades Property Company and Mr.Rmd Mozqutta,P.E.of
Appledore Engineering, Inc.We review my memo'dated February 6, 1999 with the fallowing
comments:
1. Clark Stset to he swept,by a self-powered driven sweeper,every Friday afternoon. If necessary
the developer will sweep as directed by the DPW.The time duration for sweeping will be during
demolition and new construction.
SOLUTION.Sweeping Wit commence with the beginning of demolition and end once the binder
course is installed.If the road surface is dean on a particular Friday sweeping may be excused,
2. The traveled way shall be established at twenty-six(25)feet.
SOLUTION.,The developer Wit relocate the curbing,on the building side to 13 feat from centerline_
3. Across section of the roadway shall be established for the full frontage of the property and the
200 foot=!,distance to Osgood Street.
SOLUTION,The developer will shim the roadway where necessary to provide a properly sloped gutter j
and/or base for curbing.This work Wit be limited to the building side of the roadway and between
the two driveways. j
4_ The developer shall coordinate all work with the Installation of the new water main by the Town.
AGREED
S. The drain between DMHS and DMH4 appears to Interfere with the old and new water main:A
cross section of the proposed and existing utilities including road surface is needed at this
location. 1
SOLUTION:The developer will lower a portion of the drain tine and if needed we will attempt to ,
change the water depth:The engineerwili provide a cross sedlon at this location. i
6. A low polyd-will exist, in the roadway opposite DMI-15,the drainage in this location must be made
suitable to receive surface waters.
SOLUTION:The developer will adjust the rim of the existing catch tasln on the easterly side of the
roadway at the low point and replace the 8"pipe from this structure with 17 RCP-

7. The developer proposes utilizing the two existing IV fire fines and the existing Z'domestic water
service.However,on sheet C-5 two new"Proposed"water lines are shown.If this is so,what size
are these line?We need additional infotmatlon_
SOLUTION:We can provide whatever the developer needs.Me will inform us of final demon in the
next few days.

SOLUTION: RD Is roof draln.
10. No trees planted in front of the proposed parking area and building shall be in theRight of Way. In
the parking area the developer can shrink islands to add 4 fe®t to the street Island and plant the
proposed trees behind the street line.In the building area,they just need to be moved back a few
feet.
SOLUTION:The developer has relocated all trees from the right of way.
11. All work In the roadway shall conform to the Town of North Andover Specifications. If the current
plans show something different Town specifications shall prevail.
AGREED.
COMMENT:
This department steno*recommends that the developer Install cape cod bean on the roadway
instead of sloped granite wing as shown on the plan.In this environment,we feet that the long terra
maintenance will be less and the cape cod berm getter serve the needs of this department.We feel
that the develop has addressed our corms and recommend in favor of this project.
