The installation of the precast concrete structure and anti-floatation slab was completed early in the week. The remainder of the week, crews generally installed piping connections within and between the new concrete structures. The 2-inch pumps continue to be used to dewater the excavation as needed. Groundwater flow observed continues to be minimal.As of the time of the inspection,the geo-fabric sediment bag (dirtbag) has been removed and hoses redirected to the dewatering basin. The pumps were not running during the inspection. The crushed stone,fabric and hay bales in the dewatering basin are in good condition. The erosion controls around the site remain set and maintained and are in good condition. The dewatering remains in compliance and the discharge area is consistent with details in the contract drawings.There is no surface water discharge as all dewatering is infiltration back into the ground. Backfilling of the excavation will commence next week. To prepare for this, onsite sand was stored on site in the location designated on the plans as location of temporary stockpile. The excavation within the sheet pile support was remains at approximately elevation 97 feet. Dewatering continues to be performed with two 2-inch sump pumps producing minimal groundwater and continues to direct minimal discharge to the to the geofabric sediment bag (dirtbag)within the established dewatering basin. The dirt bag continues to function properly. Pumped water observed during this inspection did not leave the dewatering basin. The crushed stone,fabric and hay bales in the dewatering basin are in good condition. The erosion controls are set and maintained. Snow cover has mostly melted. Precast concrete installation will commence today and is anticipated to continue through the end of the week. Dewatering will continue for the foreseeable future. The dewatering remains in compliance and the discharge area is consistent with details in the contract drawings.
