In-Find Deck Replacement
Conservation Conditions of Approval,NACC #310
Pursuant to section 4.4.2 of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations,
Peter Boynton, the homeowner. of 320 Stevens Street, filed for a Small Project pert-nit application for
work proposed at his property in North Andover. The work involves: replacing an existing;wood rail.
with a new aluminum rail and associated vertical balusters,installing 96 joist hangers, and replacing
the existing wood planking on the top of the deck with new wood planking.The existing deck, and
proposed work,is approximately 66 feet (at its closest point) frond the intermittent stream that flows
through the property. No ground disturbance is currently anticipated for this project. Ho-,vever,if
ground disturbance is deemed necessary for whatever reason, the conditions listed in this approval
letter will be fully adhered to.
Durina the August 9 2023 public meetings, the North Andover Conservation C:otnnussion (N C)
fcauncl._tlus pro ect to c ualify,as a Small Project Permit and voted unanimously to approve this

subject to compliance with the conditions_listed below. The project is approved only as it
relates to the Conservation Cotntmission and any and all other approvals should be obtained lay the
applicant/hoteowner.

The following,conditions are hereby mandated if ground disturbance_is deemed neccssat
CONDITIONS:
1. Should ground disturbance/soil excavation be deemed necessary during the project, the
applicant shall cease and desist all work immediately, and notify the North Andover
Conservation Department.

2. Schedule a site visit with the Conservation Department to inspect the proposed work
involving ground disturbance.
3. If deemed necessary by Conservation Department staff, the applicant shall install 8" straw
wattle erosion control tubes between the limit of work and the wetland resource area.
4. Post-construction inspection shall he scheduled with the Conservation Department to verify
compliance.
5. This permit shall expire one year from the date of issuance.
The a )Iicant, homeowner.,and their contractors are advised that NO other work on the Prioper-ty
is allowecl under this perrnit. 'I'lic NACC has jurisdiction over all of the wetlands and associated

current conditions in these areas will require permitting with the NAC.(",This includes, but are not
