7:05 pm - Liz Fennessy calls meeting
The application calls for the installation of sixteen 5.04kW solar panels installed on the rear
section of the dwelling roof. The panels will add six inches to the height of the roof, but will not
be visible from the public way. The following questions were asked to clarify details of the
project:
1. Are the panels black on black? The panels will be black with a black frame to further
minimize visibility from the ground.
2. What is the height of the current meter from grade and what is the minimum height
required? Currently four feet with a four foot minimum from the bottom of the meter.
3. What other equipment will be installed? A series of four boxes will be installed on the
right side of the house, taking place of the current meter. The chain will consists of an
inverter > disconnect > smart meter > disconnect. A trough will be used between
junctions to minimize the amount of visible conduit.
4. Has there been a structural evaluation? Yes, roof rafters will be sistered to support the
weight of the system.
5. Current condition of roof? Good. Estimated 5 years old.
6. How will roof maintenance be performed? When roof replacement is needed, Trinity will
perform a remove and replace. The entire system will be removed allowing for the roof
to be replaced, then the system will be reinstalled. This service comes with a fee.
Approval of the project as presented with the following conditions:
1. Meter and boxes will be mounted directly to siding. No vinyl box should be used.
2. Conduit is to be painted to match the color of the house.
3. Meter and boxes is to be installed at minimum height of 4 ft.
Harry Aznoian makes motion to pass as is with the above conditions added to the package.
Liz Fennessy seconds the motion. Motion passes 3-0.
