Present Board Members: Harry Aznoian, Tim True, Bernard Zelitch, Justin Lafond
Applicant: Avalon, represented by David Gillespie of Avalon, Francis Yuen of Avalon, and Ed
Bradford of The Architectural Team
7:13pm - T. True calls meeting to order, seconded by B. Zelitch
7:14pm - E. Bradford presents revisions of the East Mill Flats plan from the prior meeting on
11/17/2021. Bradford explained the new design and its relationship to the originally approved
design. Two alternates were presented, with much of the same features of the original
approval.
7:44pm - E. Bradford speaks to preferences of proposed alternate B and how it relates to
traditional mill buildings. Board members compared and ultimately preferred alternate A to B
due to the wooden mill window pattern and window spacing.
7:54pm - Discussed window widths and how they related to the floor plan
8:05pm - Discussed the main entry and cargo doors. New proposal featured more windows and
a set-back elevator and stairwell windows. Applicants prefer not to include non-working
features like the cargo doors, but are willing to work with the board if preferred.
8:13pm - D. Gillespie recaps boards preference for choice A for North and South elevations and
agrees to continuance.
8:17pm - H. Aznoian motions for continuance
8:18pm - Miscellaneous item 1: H. Aznoian updated the board on 178-180 Water St.
Contractors are applying for compliance on window replacement.
Miscellaneous item 2: H. Aznoian was asked about the committee's stance on solar. The
response is that the town needs to establish a solar energy plan that the board can reference.
8:21pm - T. True motions to adjourn meeting. Seconded by B. Zelitch.
