True calls meeting to order, seconded by B. Zelitch 6:33pm - Discussed separating front doors to accommodate a 5" firewall. Applicant is undecided and will revisit. 6:42pm - Applicant addressed chimneys and plans to remove the inner part of chimney, but will build a platform to support and keep the exterior section of the chimney in place. 6:45pm - Applicant addressed exterior side stairs. Right side will feature a 45x45" platform while the left side will be a straight stairway. Both sides will feature a 43" wide stair with 2x4 rails and 2" spindles. 6:49pm - Window muntins will be 2 over 2 on all windows except the smaller bathroom windows which will be 1 over 1. Window muntin will be '/4" high and Ys" wide. There are a total of 25, 2 over 2 windows plus the two 1 over 1 bathroom windows. 7:11 pm - All external trim will be repaired. 7:16pm - Applicant plans to keep original storm windows on the porch but will replace them if necessary. This is not in the purview of the commission. 7:20pm - Applicant addressed the front entrance. Original trim will be retained. 7:25pm - Applicant will remove the current front door overhang and will replace it with a wood, shingled one. The design is not yet finalized and will be discussed at a future meeting. 7:35pm - H. Aznoian makes motion to approve: - 23, 2 over 2 windows with '/4" high x Ys" wide muntins - 2 small 1 over 1 bathroom windows - Right side stairs with a 45x45" landing, 43" wide stairs with 2x4 top and bottom - Rails with 2" spindles - Left side stairs, 43" wide with 2x4 top and bottom rails with 2" spindles B. Zelitch seconds the motion 7:39pm - Public comments: Trees on Elm St. are protruding into the sidewalk and are creating a walking hazard. Individual asks that the board submit a request to the DPW to trim vegetation. 7:43pm - 140-142 Water Street application is put to a vote, subject to the motion created by H. Aznoian. Board members vote 4-0 in favor. 7:44pm - Applicant requests continuance for unapproved items including front doors, trim, and stairs. Continuance approved. 7:50pm - Misc. correspondence. - H. Aznoian brings attention to the board an inquiry about the current dental office on Elm Street being used for a veterinarian practice. - B. Zelitch brings "Ira Carty" sidewalk tag to the attention of the board in an effort to have the signage fall under the purview of the board. H. Aznoian will inquire. 8:02pm - T. True brings motion to adjourn. Seconded by B. Zelitch. Meeting Adjourned
