HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-10-12 Affordable Housing Trust Minutes North Andover Affordable Housing Trust Meeting Minutes October 12, 2023 Members in attendance: Christopher Jee, Chair, Richard Vaillancourt, Peter Koesterherm, Robert Bernardin, George Koehler, Joan Fitzgibbons. Absent: Laurie Burzlaff Treasurer's Report There was a discussion about the commitments and outstanding obligations to date. Not taking into account anticipated $200K in CPA funds for this year, the trust fund has a deficit of - $37,520.79. Mr. Bernardin noted that the most recent disbursements may not be reflected on the report. Mr. Jee will check on recent disbursements before the next meeting. 20 Brown Court There was a discussion about the status of the project. Mr. Jee noted that the sale to Bread and Roses has occurred and he will reach out to Bread and Roses to find out the status of their HOME grant application. Fountain Drive Mr. Bernardin reported on updates to the projectthat NAHA would not be able to maintain sole ownership of the new project due to financing requirements and that NAHA is speaking with other developers for their potential involvement, including MV Habitat for Humanity. There was a dThe trust will invite the Housing Authority executive director to the next meeting to learn more about where they are and for the trust to consider next steps. Housing Production Plan The trust will invite Town Planner, Jean Enright, to the next meeting to learn about where the town is on the HPP and to find out whether the HPP committee needs a member from the trust. 149 Main Street The trust will invite Town Planner, Jean Enright, to the next meeting to learn about the status of the project. Senior Housing Repair Program There was discussion over funding availability for this project and whether GLCAC, Bread and Roses or the town could administer this program. The trust tabled further discussion of this topic until after reevaluation of trust funds in the coming months.
