Based on the training booklet that you reviewed and the quiz that you submitted, you are trained to do the following low risk activities: ❑ Covering surfaces with approved coverings used appropriately(this includes vinyl siding exteriors) ❑ Removing and replacing the following components ONLY: Doors (on hinges) Drawers Cabinet doors (on hinges) Shelves that are not affixed(nailed Shutters (on hinges) or glued down) Please note you are NOT authorized to apply encapsulants. Deleadiu Notification: Before any deleading work can begin, you must give certain people and agencies notice of the upcoming work. A copy of the "Deleading Notification"form has been enclosed. It must be completed and given to the appropriate people/agencies at least ten (10) days before starting the work. Please be sure to include your authorization number or the form will not be processed. Occupancy restrictions: Occupants must stay out of the work area for covering intact surfaces, removing and replacing the low risk components listed above, and capping baseboards. Some low-risk activities, such as replacing doors, have special timing requirements. Speak to your lead inspector about how to schedule the different deleading activities. Deleading Invoice: When you have completed your work and the inspector comes to reinspect, you must give him/her a completed invoice (see attachment). This invoice describes what work you did and includes your authorization number. Please remember that all work must be done in a workman-like manner, the work area must be properly cleaned, and the work must pass a reinspection before you can receive a Letter of Full Deleading Compliance.
