Dear: ANDY MECKEL,
Congratulations, as of 02/23/2024 you have successfully completed the low risk deleading
training. Based on the training booklet that you reviewed and the quiz that you submitted, you
are trained to do the following low risk activities:
❑ Covering surfaces with approved coverings used appropriately(this includes vinyl siding
exteriors)
❑ Removing and replacing the following components ONLY:
Doors (on hinges) Drawers
Cabinet doors (on hinges) Shelves that are not affixed(nailed
Shutters (on hinges) or glued down)
Please note you are NOT authorized to apply encapsulants.
Deleadiu Notification:
Before any deleading work can begin, you must give certain people and agencies notice of the
upcoming work. A copy of the "Deleading Notification"form has been enclosed. It must be
completed and given to the appropriate people/agencies at least ten (10) days before starting the
work. Please be sure to include your authorization number or the form will not be processed.
Occupancy restrictions:
Occupants must stay out of the work area for covering intact surfaces, removing and replacing
the low risk components listed above, and capping baseboards.
Some low-risk activities, such as replacing doors, have special timing requirements. Speak to
your lead inspector about how to schedule the different deleading activities.
Deleading Invoice:
When you have completed your work and the inspector comes to reinspect, you must give
him/her a completed invoice (see attachment). This invoice describes what work you did and
includes your authorization number.
Please remember that all work must be done in a workman-like manner, the work area must be
properly cleaned, and the work must pass a reinspection before you can receive a Letter of Full
Deleading Compliance.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call CLPPP at 800-532-9571.
