Meeting Minutes
April 9, 2024
Present: Laurie Burzlaff, Stephen Foster, Jorge Goncalves, Janice Phillips, Jen Cronan, Kate DeLisle, Jenn Whitney,

Meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Laurie Burzlaff at 4:01 p.m

Approval of Minutes
Motion to approve minutes of 3/20 made by Jenn Whitney, seconded by Joe Hicks, motion approved 9-0 vote.
Budget Update
The budget is $19 million including change order 1. Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment budget is $450,000. Fees and
expenses $3.2 million, includes fees, project management, building commissioning, special inspections etc.
With all outstanding, contingency is at just over $700,000
Construction update
Interior wall framing and blocking begun. Door frames going in. Rough plumbing started. Electrical conduits,
conduit in crawl space, duct work, retaining wall work all being done. Roof is weather tight. They are working on
sprinkler piping installation.
PCO 15 - Additional Steel at Columns
Steel outriggers need additional support at column lines due to additional 6 inches of plate. Had to extend metal.
Price is calculated on time and materials. The actual total ended up being $10,831.43
Motion made Steve Foster to approve PCO15, seconded by Jenn Whitney, motion approved 9-0 vote.
PCO 19- Replace Fire Department Connection (FDC) at Existing Building
Replacement of Fire Dept Connection at Existing Building. Fire department now requests on all new buildings as an
added safety measure. The total cost is $856.46.
Motion made by Jenn Whitney to approve PCO19, seconded by Steve Foster, motion approved 9-0.
PCO 20- Demolition of Unit Ventilators
We have 6- 5 inch conduits in crawl space. Due to the way the pipes need to be installed they need to remove a
unit ventilator and sprinkler line that are existing and not needed. Steve Foster indicated that they need to make
sure there is no air in the system.
Motion made by Steve Foster to approve PCO20, seconded by Jenn Cronan, motion approved 9-0.
Review and Vote on the Furniture Proposals
Furniture and equipment budget is $450K. Three separate proposals as different vendors supply different items.
Creative Office Resources- $176,484.37
Robert Lord Co $54,430.72
Virco $160,967.29
The total is $391.882.38
Motion made by Joe Hicks to approve the furniture proposals, seconded by Steve Foster, motion approved 9-0.
Review and Vote on the PA and Clocks Proposal
NSG labor and materials $171,495.00. The existing system is out of date and needs to be replaced. The school
wants to move to system that is not proprietary. Phil Palumbo will explore additional options.
No vote at this time
Review and Vote on the Projector and Speaker Proposals
Three quote were obtained. Ockers - $42,961.00, Pro AV systems $45,150.12, CCS- $45,428.84.
Have to go with low responsible, responsive bidder. Ockers can work on all of the technology old and new. To be
paid for from School technology budget for this project.
Motion made by Jenn Whitney to approve Ockers proposal, seconded by Jen Cronan, motion approved 9-0.
Review and approve Invoices
MVG- Brennan Consulting $2000.00
MVG- Alison Smith Design Consultant 10,450.00
MVG- March services -19,260.00
Colliers invoice $67,001.36 for March Services
Motion made by Joe Hicks, seconded by Steve Foster, motion approved 9-0.
