HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-04-23 Middle School Building Committee Minutes Middle School Building Committee Meeting Minutes April 23, 2024 Present: Laurie Burzlaff, Stephen Foster, Jorge Goncalves, Janice Phillips, Jen Cronan, Jenn Whitney Phil Palumbo, Jessica Drummond and Trey Logie from Colliers and Paul Louie from Mount Vernon Group Absent: Jim Mealey, Joseph Hicks, Kate Delisle Meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Laurie Burzlaff at 4:02 p.m No public comment Approval of Minutes Tabled until next meeting Construction update Air vapor barrier on south east and north elevations and brick veneer on south elevation being installed. Once completed windows will be installed. Mechanical and electrical fire protection roughs on first floor being done and working on drainage system. Review and vote on change order 18 Unit vent on second floor where old and new construction meet needs to be removed. Missed on demo drawing. Cost is $2,124.47. Motion made by Steve Foster, seconded by Jenn Whitney, motion approved 6-0 vote. PA and Clock System Procurement Review NSGs proposal was $171,495.00 which includes replacing current system and installing new in addition. Valley quote was for existing PA only $60,615.05. Waiting for new proposal to include existing and new. Review move services bids and vote on award Esquire $73,882.50, Sterling $78,912. Sterling had lower hourly and weekend rates- $42/non prevailing wage, $84/PW, $58/hr. weekend and $4.00 per box, $15/month book carts Budget is $64,400 and expect it to stay within that number Motion by Jen Cronan to award moving contract to Sterling Corporation, seconded by Jenn Whitney, motion approved 6-0 vote. Review and approve invoices Hutter Pay App #8 $1,292,217.36, Mount Vernon Group-April design services -$19,260.00. Colliers has reviewed and approved both. Motion made by Jen Whitney, seconded by Jen Crona, motion approved 6-0 vote. Adjournment Next meeting 5/7 4:00pm. 5/21 building tour at 3:30.
