Re: Subdivision of John B. Harriman-Chestnut Street Gentlemen: Two very important questions deserve to have careful, professional and Independent studies made pr1or to acceptance of the named proposal* 1, Surface drainage ® note 41 rise of cul de sac a) as it affects the abuttars whose land is now wet and often cannot be worked until July because eq6tpuent mires In the mud. The long term effect on the abuttors land use must be considered b) possibility of flooding In the Peters Street, Andover Street area. The single surface drain for the proposed development ties into a storm drain In the apartment complex adjoining. This concentration of water, allowing no gradual ground absorption, will force additional thousands of gallons of water into that area of Andover street adding to the problems of flooding which have been severe for a number of years. Both of the above must be engineered to determine the Impact can neighbors, both immediate and distant, before this proposal can be made acceptable. Corrective steps must be implemented.
