Re: Subdivision of John B. Harriman-Chestnut Street
Gentlemen:
Two very important questions deserve to have careful, professional and
Independent studies made pr1or to acceptance of the named proposal*
1, Surface drainage ® note 41 rise of cul de sac
a) as it affects the abuttars whose land is now wet and often
cannot be worked until July because eq6tpuent mires In the mud.
The long term effect on the abuttors land use must be considered
b) possibility of flooding In the Peters Street, Andover Street area.
The single surface drain for the proposed development ties into
a storm drain In the apartment complex adjoining. This concentration
of water, allowing no gradual ground absorption, will force
additional thousands of gallons of water into that area of Andover
street adding to the problems of flooding which have been severe
for a number of years.
Both of the above must be engineered to determine the Impact can
neighbors, both immediate and distant, before this proposal can be made
acceptable. Corrective steps must be implemented.
Very truly yourav

Dear Sirs t
Prior to granting a subdivision oft the John B. Harri .n
property on Chestnut Street, North .Andover, I feel strongly
that a. drainage study (surface water) should, be conducted and
the results submitted to the Planning Board. for its considera-
tion and./or approval.
My major concern is that the western section of the prom
used subdivi8ion abutts my property which is low and wet land.
his land. could, be adversely affected. by water flowage from the
;Pour (4) foot hill P resently proposed on the plans: I object
to any drainage change whichcould cause additional .terand/or
drainage on gay property.
Sincerely yours,,
(Mrs. ) Shrley K. Howe

Dear Ceorget
In preparation for new neighbors* immediately adjacent to my
home, on the former Harriman property, I am having trees along
the common boundry trcinmed arad/or removed to reduce any liability
hazard.
Theme is some needed tree removal and cleaning on the Harriman
side as well.
Will you kindly inform the current owner that I expect he will
eliminate any problem which might become the responsiblItty
of an eventual buyer.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Re : Rocky Ridge Application Dated June 19, 1980
Dear Members of the Board;
In accordance to your request at the public hearing for the
Rocky Ridge subdivision held on August 11°, 1980, the following
is submitted :
I certify that as a result of subdivision as shown on my
subdivision plan dated June 19, 1980, no increase in runoff
will occur at .the Flatley property, the Howe property, and
the Carey property. I have incorporated within the subdivision
design itself, infiltration trenches which will distribute a
substantial amount of the runoff directly into the ground
water supply.
Should you have any further questions, feel free to call on me.
Yours truly,
o WANK
