Re: Turtle Hill Dear Fritz: i am quite familiar with the 1a`nd involved in this pro_, posed subdivision. i was very upset to learn that the developer .has proposed tuo, 'rrhat I would term major proposals, without making all the facts kno-t,ai. First of all, I believe that the drainage involved was deliberately diverted into another drainage area and. i think that this is as wrong as wrong can be. 1 realize that this di.vorsion was not done by the current developer, bat never the less it has been done, and a buildable lot is planned to a.ccomodate a home on what i wouTd call the old, drainage swale or ponding effect, or whatever also you might like to call it. the thing that really irks me, is that the developer said that the totrn may have a. problem id h the twelve inch calvc'r•t in fuli, irre years because of the development and a factor water ran off. Z believe a, sensible approach to this problem is to :!.cave Lot 1 for the drainage stale that i_ has been ,since the good Lord made it. If a problem is caused down stream I feel it is the developer and not the tolvin that has the problem. Secondly, the proposed drainage down. Salem St. to the ex_s t.- ing basin in front of the home or Mr. & Mrs ,Steven Voirnessa.. I had assumed that as first proposed that an easement could be obtained on Lot 8 owned by the deve'lope:r, and a, sliver of Land owned by MY. Vounessa. i found out during a conversation with Mr. Vounessa, that the devel- oper had never approached Prim for the right of a drainage easement. . I am again displeased that the developer would choose to do damage to Salem St., which was just newly constructed and also possible damage to four or five beautiful trees that line the road very close to the pavement at this point. `.Chose trees have been 'treated iri_th tender loving care during the reconstruction of this street. after conter°ring Pith Mr. Vounessa and the fact that he told me he would. cooperate if it were done in a proper manner approved by him. } If this is the case _i: am making a stand that,t;he de- velopEar vJ0.1 nob be allowed to enter Salem St. with drainage a royll the "evel.opmea k aaithOU t proper approval. opt' the ffi.gbwa.y Depar b-fient. I was again upset that the developer had made a. deal with Mr. Edward Tonelil.o to correct a drainage problem tha 'these people have had from water in their basement. The developer had no right what, so ever, to make any kind of a deal.. _C will 'be at Monday e- enings we:e bing to answer as A further quest, iona that may avi_se. This may be a rm..i.ni. sub-division, but I believe that there :is a lot to be considered before _['_i_nal, approval is given as proposed. Other than vrhat T have mentioned I would expect a twenty-six: foot vr-i_d i,h and other standard conditions that I request on such sub-divisions. Yours truly, 4 William A.
