RE: SHANNON LANE/SHANNON TRUST

Shannon Lane Trust is working with the Planning staff to
finalize the necessary documentation to bring a roadway
acceptance article before the Annual Town Meeting in May.
The Planning Board is currently holding $8, 000 . for the
completion of all work remaining which is strictly engineering
plans and legal documentation. The outstanding items are:
* As-built to be submitted.
* Division of Public Works sign off and
recommendation.
* All easements to be conveyed, including
fee in the roadway.
* Warrant article for Annual Town Meeting.
* Public hearing to be held by Board of
Selectmen.
We will be coordinating the above in order to place this
acceptance on the Annual Town Meeting. If T can be of further
assistance, let me know.

Dear Mike;
1 have reviewed the plans and make the following recommendations.
This proposed road should run through from F'arnum Street to
Johnson Street. There is no reason why this should not be done.
To use the fifty foot frontage in a situation like this, in my
opinion, would be bad planning.
A twelve foot shoulder is not necessary as shown on plan. Eight
feet is what we require and is adequate for the retention of
trees and aesthetically.
Catch basin frames and grates to be four flange with checker board
type grate.
1 will be at your meeting this evening if you have any further
questions.

Dear Mr. Sheridan:
It- has been some time since I last spoke with you regarding the recording
of the release form for lots on Shannon Lane. In order to pull building permits
this release form must be recorded at the Northern Essex Registry of Deeds. It is
your responsibility to pick these documents up at the Planning Board Office and record
them within a reasonable time frame.
I have enclosed a copy of the agreement for your records and the original
document 'Form V to be recorded. Call the Planning Board office with the instrument
number and have the registry forward recorded document to our office.

Please be advised that Coolidge Construction Company, Inc . is
requesting a reduction in the bond amount on Shannon. Lane. We ask
the Board to reduce the bond amount within the policy of Town
regulations . Currently the roadway has :
a) hot top (binder)
b) all required catch basins, headwalls and drainage pipe
c) hydrants, water services and water lines
d) street sign
e) shoulders and slopes are seeded and mulched with hay
f) electric, telephone and cable
g) gas line and services
All items have been inspected and approved verbally by the
department heads . Please inform us of. your action .

Band Release
DEar Erich:
At the request of Coolidge Construction, I am submitting
a report and band release recommendation, for this subdivision.
Drainage is complete and binder hottop has been applied.
Shoulder areas have been graded and seeded and in general
everything is progressing well and is being done in a very
orderly fashion.
I would recommend that $35,000.00 could be released at
this time.
This would leave a balance of $25,000.00 to finish all
remaining work associated with this department.
