B. Zelitch to open hearing for solar panels at 250 Main St., T. True 2nd; unanimous
Brian Cartier of Sunrun spoke for homeowner, Brendan Monroe.
He said they want to maintain production to make homeowner's investment nworthwhwhile, and
keep good appearance.
He wanted it southern-facing as much as possible as symentrical as possible.
B. Monroe: will be redoing roof with blackk or charcoal.
B. Cartier: it will blend in. All systems have a skirt to neaten the bottom end.
J. Lafond asked if it was productive to put anything on west side.
B. Cartier: West side makes it prohibitive, including the orientation of the home.
H. Aznoian: this is the same orientation as Pleasant St.
B. Cartier: that house is more east/west.
H. Aznoian: Pleasant street runs perpendicular.
H. Aznoian: 3 rows is too much. Coming down Main St. and you see it right there.
B. Cartier: For the shape and size of that section of room, there is is plenty of room for 3.
H. Aznoian: You see a block of panels. When does the impact of solar panels stop? Precedent
was to not put on face of main room. Wants two panels on the top.
J. Lafond: We could say put on other roof, but if they won't generate a f, but if they won't
generate a
B. Zelitch: Has Sunrun run metrics for panels on the other side?
B. Cartier: no.
B. Zelitch: Agree with H. Aznoian.
B. Cartier: It would be drastic moving panels to backS.
H. Aznoian: Pleasant St. had 14 panels. Could go portrait instead of landscape?
T. True: Another size panel?
B. Cartier: no
B. Monroe: feels that filling entire space is less distracting than partially filled.
H. Aznoian: Other projects tends to disappear on linearity. Aesthetics is subjective.
B. Monroe: Will do a new roof. May have to take the chimney down.
B. Cartier: We could show a rendering what it will look like in different configurations.
B. Monroe: Would like to have a vote now.
H. Aznoian, B. Zelitch and J. Lafond advised that the vote was likely 2-2 which means it will not
