Read "B" should be straightened out to show possible connection with Mark Road. 6. Several grades are greaten than 6% and should have sloped granite curbing. 7. There should be another catch basin at the intersection of the two roads. 8. The subdivision should show only to the back lot lines of the pro— posed lots. 9. The surface drain lines should show on the profile' on the southerly side. 10. There should be a manhole on the storm drain at the southerly end of the property. TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER, MASSACHUSETTS 01845 WILLIAM A. CYR TELEPHONI 683-2234 HIGHWAY SURVEYOR August 6, I M William Chepulis, Chairman Planning Board 120 Main Street North Andover, Mass. Re: "Douglas Driver' Dear Mr. Chepulis: The following are my recommendations: 1. Two more catch basins 250 ft. from the crest of. Lisa Lane and road A. or half way between Lisa Lane and the existing basins shown on the plan. I would like two more basins half way between the intersection of roads A and B and way to existing basins on road B. The basins at the end of the circle: on road A should be moved to the roadside at the beginning of the circle. 2. The run of 475 ft. from manhole to manhole at the bottom of road A to angle leading to the outlet at existing brook I feel is too great and that another manhole should be installed. 3. Basins at the lower end of the circle on road B. should be relocated so that they are also at the beginning of the circle. 4. The intake of header to drains on Lot #23 should be catch basin type with a cover instead of an open pipe. Open pipes crest dangerous and troublesome situations and a catch basin would solve this problem. An easement should be established on Lot #23 to protect future owners from problems that might arise with the drainage at this loca- tion. ;. Sloped granite curbs should be installed at all locations where grades exceed 6%, to eliminate possible erosion. 6. The present culvert running under Rea Street is not capable of handling all the drainage from Douglas Drive, therefore, I recommend that a 30 1t culvert be installed under Rea. St. by the developer. Very trply yours, iam A. Cyr. T" WAC/mp HighwaySurveyor 1 4
