Dear Mr, Lamprey:
This letter is written on behalf of, the' xesidents of Mark Road, Johnson Street,
Jay Road and Rea Street, We have various obj actions to theapproval of a sub,
division for development of the' Wilson ,property to' be' know'as Douglas 'Dxive,
The Planning Beard will consider the' �reques,t- for approval of this. subdivis=
at their scheduled meeting, ,Tune 6, 1977,
Our objections are as follows and are based' on personal knowledge, as well as
information learned' from other' s,
1. We object to the' subdivision as it will create a definite health
hazard, in our opinion.
This property.,, for the' inost-part, is a hill and during any rain storm,
in Winter and the'- thaw of Spring, water. drains. into the lowerareas
around the' hill such as 'Rea Street',-Mark Road, Jay 'Road and Johnson
Street. During most of the' year, these areas are fret, In the Spring?
particularly, and sometimes' during the' Summer', we get' pungent odors
emanating from the' various streams in. the' area'. This odor, we'believe,
comes from drainage into the' soil of various septic systems now in
existence at higher' elevations. ' It is evidence of the fact that, soil,
in the area is not suited to septic systems,- It appears that the' '
approval of this subdivision with the proposed' l0 house lots and the
resulting 10 new septic systems will result in a health problem of
immense problems,
2. We object to the subdivision as it will result in polluting all existing
streams, underground streams and upset the' ecological balance in the' area,

3. We object to the subdivision as it will cause a substantial disrupting
of the water flow and natural drainage in the area, This area is
already very wet' in Winter' and Spring and does' not dry out on the
surface until mid Summer, Inter-ference with the natural. water flow
and drainage on the scale contemplated' by this subdivision can only
result in severe water problems to the homes' and Property of area
residents,
Based' on all the above,' we' �request the Planning Board disapprove the Wilson
property subdivision plan as presently proposed,
