HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-09-12 Community Preservation Committee Minutes Community Preservation Committee Minutes of April 11, 2024 Present: Chairman William Callahan, John Simons, Terrance Holland, Rick Green, Tim Tschirhart, Ron Rudis, Adam Bagni. Absent: Tracy Watson, John Mabon Staff: Zach Melcher William Callahan called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read the guidelines for remote meetings and receiving comments from the public. Bill Dolan spoke representing the VFW sponsoring the Wreaths Across America program at Ridgewood Ceremony. He gave a brief history of the program and invited the CPC members to attend the military ceremony and wreath laying scheduled on December 14t" at Ridgewood Cemetery. Mr. Dolan gave a history of the Stevens Estate Carriage House and gave his support for the funds proposed for repairs. W. Callahan reviewed the CPC presentation for Town Meeting. Discussion took place regarding how the funding requests would be presented. Q3 Quarterly Reports—Z. Melcher gave updates on some ongoing projects. W. Callahan discussed a memo prepared by Zach regarding two projects at Ridgewood Cemetery— Preservation of Second Burial Ground 1325 —and Second Burying Ground Restoration 1356. Both projects can be closed out. MOTION —T. Tschirhart motioned to close the accounts as detailed in the memo from Zach to the committee; Project# 1325 - Preservation of Second Burial Ground and Project# 1356 -Second Burying Ground Restoration. Seconded by R. Rudis. W. Callahan-yes,J Simons-yes, R. Green-yes,T. Tschirhart-yes, A. Bagni-yes, R. Rudis-yes,T. Holland -yes All in favor 7-0. CPC Financials - No comments. MOTION — Motion made by J. Simons to approve the March 7t" Meeting Minutes. Seconded by R. Green. W. Callahan-yes,J Simons-yes, R. Green-yes,T. Tschirhart-yes,A. Bagni-yes, R. Rudis-yes,T. Holland -yes. All in favor, unanimous vote 7-0. MOTION — Motion made by R. Green to approve the March 14t" Meeting Minutes. Seconded by T. Tschirhart. W. Callahan-yes,J Simons-yes, R. Green-yes, T.Tschirhart-yes,A. Bagni-yes, R. Rudis-yes, T. Holland -yes. All in favor, unanimous vote 7-0. T. Tschirhart acknowledged the great job done by Zach Melcher assisting the CPC this year. All members agree. W. Callahan thanked all members for their contributions and commitment. MOTION - R. Green made a motion to adjourn, seconded by T. Holland. All in favor, vote 7-0.
