Approval of 6/25/2024 Meeting Minutes Motion made by Tom Carbone to approve meetings minutes as presented,seconded by Brian LaGrasse. Approved Unanimously. 2. Updates from the Shared Staff a. Shared Services Coordinator i. IMA 1. All communities have scheduled Select Board and BOH meetings for the approval of the IMA. 2. Anticipate the IMA will be finalized by the end of September. 3. Please let Annette know if you would like her to attend a meeting. ii. Regional Website 1. Aptuitive is in the process of loading all content onto the website. 2. We anticipate there will be an initial version to review in the next 4-6 weeks. iii. Hiring 1. Shanen has accepted the regional inspector position and will begin on August 5. 2. Annette and Shanene will be reaching out to departments to set up a schedule iv. FDA Standards 1. We are currently working on auditing Standard 1 2. A draft version of the Standard 3 protocols has been prepared based on existing MA communities a. These will be brought to the inspectional subcommittee for discussion and edit b. A final version will be brought to the board for discussion after b. Public Health Nurse i. Working on developing a standard operating procedure for requesting MAVEN coverage ii. Developing a standard operating procedure for requesting vaccine for children support iii. Lea Anne has been working on mosquito bite prevention materials including social media images that are shared with public health nurses iv. Lea Anne has sent out a survey to all public health nurses in the collaborative to collect information about what training would be most useful 1. We are looking to offer practical training for the nurses 3. DISCUSSION: FY25 Projects a. Community Health Education i. Lea Anne is collecting ideas on possible community health education events similar to the diabetes education held in FY 24 ii. Ade Solarin is interested in exploring cholesterol screening 1. There is currently no regional cholesterol screening machine 2. MEPHC staff will investigate further iii. Brian LaGrasse is interested in seasonal health topics 1. Lea Anne currently develops a monthly health topic that is sent to the nurses for use on social media, print etc. 2. Lea Anne has also been working with Carolyn to try a pilot program to place tick educational materials in popular outdoor areas a. This could be replicated in other communities. Reach out to Lea Anne if you are interested b. Strategic Planning i. In the FY25 workplan,we set specific objectives around strategic planning. ii. Annette is looking for possible consultants to work with on this project. She is aware of BME Strategies, but looking for additional suggestions iii. Annette will reach out to the state subject matter experts 4. DISCUSSION/VOTE: Health Communication Specialist Position a. Tom Carbone suggest adding responsibilities related to the management of document translation as well as social media accounts for member communities Tom Carbone makes a motion to approved the job description with the above mentioned additions, seconded by Coral Hope. Approved Unanimously. S. DISCUSSION: Model Body Art Regulations a. Revisit discussions about model body art regulations b. Next Steps, Annette will reach out to communities to work individually on body art regulation updates. c. If you are interested in updating your local regulations, reach out to Annette. 6.
