Re . George Stern - Variance
Request /58 Osgood Street
Dear Mr . Serio and Board Members :
On behalf of the Planning Board, I would lake to take
this opportunity to provide you with some background informa-
tion regarding this request for setback variance.
This past June, the Planning Board conditionally approved
the definitive plan of land entitled ' Cranberry Lane ' which
is Located in the Old Historic Center across from the Town
Common. The original plan submitted to the Planning Board
depicted these. 2 buildingsto be razed.
During the hearing process the Planning Board viewed the
site as a sensitive area worthy of preserving its historical
character. Therefore, the Board incorporated conditions such
as minimizing tree clearing, reducing the width of road pave-
ment, requiring a detailed landscape plan and preserving the
integrity of the existing lot #6 to include keeping two barns .
These structures will not inhibit road construction or site
r
distance.
The Planning Board unanimously supports this request to
permit the continued existence of the structures . we sincerely
appreciate your consideration in reviewing this request.
Yours truly,
f
