To Whom This May Conern:
The purpose of this letter is to confirm the fact that the
Def-initive Subdivision known as ' Cranberry Lane ' has been conditionally
approved by the North Andover Planning Board. The Plan was approved
at the Boards June 16 , 1986 meeting and subsequently filed with the
Town Clerk on June 19 , 1986 .

Gentlemen :
We are attorneys for David A . Kindred , et al . , Trustees
of Flintlock Realty Trust , the developers of a subdivision
off Osgood Street , North Andover , known as Cranberry Lane .
With reference to Paragraph 4 of your approval of our
clients ' subdivision plan , we would respectfully request
that the language regarding the architecture of the homes to
be built in the subdivision be modified as follows :
"The developer shall record .protective covenants
in the Essex North District Registry of Deeds or
place restrictive covenants in all deeds conveying
lots in the subdivision, which covenants shall
r� give to the developer the right to approve all
plans for the construction of dwellings on said
lots , including architectural design , size of
building , color of building , and placement of
buildings on the lots ; and the developer shall
submit the proposed covenants to the Planning
Board prior to the conveyance of any lots. "
My clients feel that if these covenants run with land
conveyed to a builder , they can control the architectural
design . It is my clients ' intention that the design be
compatible with the architecture of other homes in the North

Andover center . However , we feel that the present conditions
imposed under Paragraph 4 of your approval would unduly
restrict the marketability of the Lots .
If this condition is agreeable to you , would you please
notify us and we will submit a copy of the covenants to

Dear Members :
In an effort to reduce the impact of the proposed subdivision on
the surroundings of the Old Center , I am requesting on behalf of my
client , a reduction in the pavement width of the proposed roadway
from 26 feet as shown on the latest subdivision plans to 22 feet .
Also , upon an agreement between my client and the abuttors of
the Old Village Lane , the row of plantings in the buffer easement
will be extended further into Lot 1 by the addition of 10 Hemlock
trees (8 ' --10' in height) .
This request coupled with the addition of the Hemlocks should
create a development with minimal impact on the character of the Old
Center and the abuttors of Old Village Lane . Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter .

Re: Cranberry Lane Subdivision
Dear Sirs :
Please be advised that the improvements called for in the
landscape plan submitted with the definitive subdivision have not
been completed. Upon inspecting the site , the rhododendrons have
been planted in the buffer area, but not the pines or the hemlocks.
Due to the winter season, planting cannot be continued until
spring . Please submit to this office , your tentative schedule
to plant the remaining materials in the buffer, in conformance
with the Town ' s Subdivision Conditions .
Your cooperation in this matter will be appreciated.
