Dear Mr. Howard:
As requested we have performed an official soil test within the proposed detention area to
establish the existing seasonal high water table.
On June 16, 1998 Mr.William Dufresne, a certified soil scientist, witnessed a 32 inch depth
to seasonal high water within the proposed detention area(see attached plan). Present at the
time of testing was yourself,John Soucy-Merrimack Engineering, William Dufresne-
Merriamack Engineering, and Michael Columbo -backhoe operator. We will proceed to
incorporate this data into the overall project design.

Dear Ms. Colwell:
Merrimack Engineering has received a copy of Mr. Chessia's preliminary project review dated
January 12, 1999. Below are changes, additions, and comments numbered respective to Mr.
Chessia's letter,
1. A Form D has been completed and attached,
2. Determination of site seasonal high water table by soil testing has already been performed
under a previous Conservation filing. Those results were re-submitted to Conservation as part of
the current Notice of Intent filing. They have also been attached to this letter.
3. No action.
4. Spot grades will be added wherever additional clarification is requested,
5. No percolation testing has been performed, and none is necessary. This project is serviced by
Town sewer and infiltration is not proposed within either detention pond.
G. This project is entirely serviced by Town sewer and water. As such, the locations of existing
septic systems and water wells has no impact on site design.Furthermore, a review of the
abutting properties and drainage patterns reveals that existing septic systems and wells,if any,
would be located beyond the scope of this project survey.
