SENT MOVERS (#242-5231 PUBLIC HEARING - NOTICE OF INTENT Drawings submitted on Monday (under five 5 day requirement) thus hearing must be continued. Jim Bourgeois of EDC and Tom Neve were allowed to discuss plans with public. Much discussion centered around parking lot drains and catch basins (traps) . Tom Neve proposed six basins with gravel bottoms and a vegetated swale between discharge and bordering vegetated wetlands. Carl expressed concerns over operation in heavy rains and questioned whether turbulence in basins would emulsify oil and allow it to leave the catch basin. Neve claimed less so than with conventional basin. Also entire parking lot will have perimeter berm which will force runoff through traps. Abutters spoke of a high water table. Neve cited "good" perc tests. Also concern was expressed over the condition of trucks and amount of oil leakage. Neve requested permission to do test diggings to determine water table. Board agreed. W. Sousa motioned to continue hearing until March 14 , 1990, George Reich seconded, motion carried.
