Description of Proposal:
The house is a 3 bedroom,4 bath, 2449sgft ranch with unfinished basement and 2 car attached garage.
We are proposing to finish the complete basement and in doing so create a family suite. The location of
the family suite will be where the basement walk-out entrance is allowing for ground level entrance. It
will have a doorway to the rest of the house (through the basement) as well as a bedroom egress
window. The proposed family suite is approximately 640sgft and the final house finished area will be
approximately 4848sgft, making the suite within the required area ratio (13%). The suite will consist of a
bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with laundry. An additional walk-out egress will be made
along the back of the house to provide simple entrance/egress to/from the basement to the back yard.
9a. No changes to the use of the land are proposed. The structure use will also not be changed, as it'll
still be single family with a family suite.
9b. No changes will be made to the soil except the digging out for the egresses.
9c.The intended use for the family suite is for Kiana's parents to move in. Her father is a US citizen and
mother is a green card holder and to immigrate to the US permanently it would require them to either
live with us or buy a house. Buying a house with the current currency devaluation in their home country
isn't feasible, so making a family suite allows them to be close to their daughter and grandchildren.
9d.The unit will be within the existing structure of the home and not impact the neighbors or town. The
house has ample off street parking.
