Adjacent 50 Peters Street

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT)has a roadway
improvement project proposed that is adjacent to your 50 Peters Street,North Andover property.
As requested, I have reviewed the proposed plans and other information, for the above referenced
project. This information was provided in an e-mail fi•om February 5th of this year.
According to this information the proposed project does not involve any fee takings or
transfer of ownership of any portions of your property to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Portions of your property, however, will be subject to easements for MassDot construction
improvements, MassDOT is proposing a permanent easement along Route 114, shown of the
plans as Parcel 19-E-9. This is in the area of the existing entrance/exit to and from Route 114.
This easement area will be used for new sidewalk construction,revised traffic island alignment
and entrance/exit improvements. MassDOT is also proposing one temporary easement along
Route 114, shown of the plans as Parcel 19-TE-44. This temporary easement will be used for
grading and construction purposes. MassDOT is also proposing two temporary easements along
Peters Street, shown on the plans as Parcels 19-TE-35 and 19-TE-146. These temporary
easements will be used for grading and construction purposes. The temporary easements are all
limited to a stated period of time.
