The North Andover Planning Board held a regular meeting -on
Monday evening , April 27, 19e7 , pon *the application of Coventry
Development Corporation (Joseph T. r- i taldi ) requesting a Special
. Permit under Section 2 .30. 1 Common Driveway of the 2oning Bar 1 a � so a
to permit the construction and use of individual driveways ay for the
purpose of gaining access to Lots 17 , 18, and 1 ; Lots 24 , 25 and ;
Lots 27 and 29. The following members were present and voting . r i c

John Burke read the legal notices to open the public near i tng s
Coventry Development Corporation presented the plans to the 2oard
showing three proposed driveways to service Lets 17 � le & 1 ; Lots
4 25 & 26 ; Lots 27 and 28 , due to the severe slope of the land . The A
Fire Chief indicated by letter his opposition to this application. A
site i i t was scheduled. by t h e Acting Town P i anner , T r i c i a Wrenn . The
i5sue of p rap cer land use and documentation supporting the reed for the
driveways o be addressed .

information.

Scott Stacking , Town Planner presented the Planning Beard with

Estates . No decision had been rendered and the last public hearing was
held an April 27 , '1 07 , At' that time the Board was to visit the site ,

Three Special Permits Common Driveways

The Planning Board makes the following findings regarding the Special
Permit Application
1 t The application adheres to the restrictions that not more
than three (3)lots be served by a common driveways,
The specific location of the common driveways are
appropriate due to existing- steep topography found on each }
lot involved ,'
21 Their design and location will not adversely affect the
surrounding properties.
4 . Adequate standards have been placed on their design wh i,ch
will meet public h a l th and safety concerns.
The purpose and intent of the regulations contained in the
Zoning y l aw are met with the Special Permits before u .
Upon making the above. f i d i � -the F 1 anri i Ong -Board votes to
conditionally approve the Special Permits with the following conditions .
1 . Easements for the driveways between the lots shall be filed
with the Registry of Deeds office,
No occupancy permit shall be issued to any structure
acces5ed by a common driveway until the standards included
in this decision are met by the applicant .

The driveway pavement section shall be a minimum of l ` widt
and not exceed ' wide*
permanent stone marker 1 " 1 " and ' high above grade
shall be. placed at the entrance of the driveway where it
intersects with the road . The marker shall not be
obstructed by planting r structures. The marker shall be-
engraved to a depth of I " and b " in height and be placed
at the top of the marker er in ascending numerical sequence .
The engraved numbers shall be overlaid with a flat black o z
