HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-05-14 Historical Commission Minutes North Andover Historical Commission May 14,2025 Meeting In attendance: Ron Rudis, (Chair); Stan Limpert; Jim Wefers; Jay Dowd Absent: Anne Ericson; 1. Meeting called to order at 5:46 pm. 2. Public comments—Joanna Kerr, Executive Director of North Andover Historical Society described the historical significance of Colonel James Frye and his residence at 169 Chestnut Street. 3. A demolition permit application was been filed for the property at 169 Chestnut Street. Per the Demolition Delay bylaw the Commission must make a determination as to whether the property is historically significant. Dowd made a motion, seconded by Wefers to designate the property at 169 Chestnut Street historically significant. Approved 4-0. 4. A public hearing will be scheduled for June 4, 2025 to discuss whether 169 Chestnut Street should be preferably preserved. 5. Wefers made a motion, seconded by Limpert to approve the May 7, 2025 meeting minutes. Approved 4-0. 6. Meeting adjourned at 5:55 pm.
