The new detention basin will be located within the existing drainage easement and will maintain the peak rates of runoff from the site as shown herein. The proposed design incorporates recognized best management practices (BMP's) for stormwater management and erosion control. Care has been taken in the selection of the appropriate BMP's for this project. Calculatialt 1MfethodolM The enclosed stormwater peak-rate runoff calculations were erformed utilizing the P g storrnwater modeling software HydroCAD. HydroCAD utilizes SCS TR.-20 methodology. Culvert flow calculations contained in the Closed Drainage Computation worksheet in the appendix were performed using the Rational Method. ►S'torntwatei*.Duna Peak-Rate c s Anal sis Table Existing Conditions Proposed Conditions Return Interval 2-Yr 10-Yr 25-Yr 100-.YY 2-Yr 10-Yr 25-Yr 100-Yr Existing 060 0.1 0.2 0.8 0.0 0.1 0.2 0.7 As can be seen from the summary table above, the theoretical peak rate of runoff from the site for existing and proposed conditions are equal or approximately equal for all of the design storms. The subsurface detention systems shall be inspected for standing water. if standing water is observed for an extended period(more than 72 hours), verify that the catch basin sumps, forebay and outlet control structure are functioning properly and contract a professional Engineer to determine the cause of the standing water and recommend a course of action, 2. Drainage pipe outlets shall be inspected twice a year for scour and sediment. If scour has occurred the rip-rap shall be replaced. Any sediment should be removed and disposed of properly. 3.
