All fire hydrants are to be within the 500 ' intervals required. 2 . All lot numbers are to be posted during construction. 3 . All permanent house numbers are to be posted prior to occupancy. 4 . A street sign approved by the Highway Surveyor to be posted at the intersection of Rocky Brook and Tanglewood. 5. Prior to taking occupancy, the subdivision streets must provide adequate access to each residence by having had the binder coat applied. 6. All builders must comply with the Fire Department' s under- ground fuel storage regulations. 7. No open burning is to be permitted except during open burning season under Fire Department regulation. I relaize that the roadway width as mentioned in item 35 is acceptionally long but Mr. Hmurciak believes that there willbe an adequate water supply to fire hydrants in the area. In addition to the water mains and hydrants I have requested that each home have a residential sprinkler system installed to compensate for the distance of the roadway and the distance of the sub-division from the nearest fire station. The developer has agreed to the installations and would insure that each home has a sprinkler system installed according to NFPA 13D and Fire Department requirements. I would like to discuss this matter with your board since the developer has exceeded the normal fire protection requirements for a sub-division. Please let me know when I can be put on your agenda. Nelson, Director Dear Karen: This letter is in reference to a proposed cul de sac called Rocky Brook.. After reviewing the project, I do not forsee any public safety problems as far as the Police Department is concerned. With the in- creasing number of complaints of speeding on many town roads in resi- dential areas , I feel a cul de sac such as this would be beneficial. My concerns increase whenever developments are proposed which present the potential to become new "short cuts" and become extremely hazar- dous. Again, ,I do not forsee any public safety problems in this area from a police standpoint. Very truly yours , Richard M.
