Present: Ron Rudis(chair), Jim Wefers, Stan Limpert,Anne Lafond,Jay Dowd
1. Meeting called to order at5:02 pm.
2. Joanna Kerr, Executive Director of the North Andover Historical Society discussed the upcoming
public meeting being held by the NAHS to discuss options for preserving the Frye house at 169
Chestnut Street,which is currently under a demolition delay.Joanna and Stan Limpert noted that
neither the NAHS nor the NAHC are expected to take ownership of facilitating preservation activities.
3. Mary Beth Therrien, President of the Holt Association of America presented a proposal to add a `First
Families' plaque to the current monument that is located next to the traffic circle beside the North
Andover Historical Society,where Massachusetts Avenue and Academy Road meet.Jim Wefers
raised the question of the source of the list of families, Mary Beth responded that the list comes
from the list of families documented by the town clerk when the town was incorporated. Wefers
made motion, seconded by Limpert to recommend approval by the town of the project.Approved
5-0.
4. Limpert made a motion, seconded by Lafond to approve the September 3, 2025 meeting minutes.
Approved 5-0.
5. Stan Limpert informed the Commission that a final draft of the Historical Preservation Plan will be
presented to the Select Board at their October 6, 2025 meeting.
6. Meeting adjourned at 5:39 pm
