Minutes: Review of January 2026. Motion to approve by Jen. Seconded by Al. Unanimously approved.
General Discussion:
Updated resources related to the COA will be provided for members to supplement or replace outdated materials
in their binders. Newer members will be provided binders, they just need to be assembled. Kathy also created
some new materials, such as a description of job responsibilities for various Senior Center staff.
We have written steps for what’s involved with being on the board and will likely do a review and update of the
description to set better expectations with those interested joining the board.
Lucius is reviewing committees to see what lands under standing committee vs working group, what their
focuses are. Should we be eliminating some and adding others? We will pursue answers to questions related to
what crosses the line between these two types.
Update from Kathy Shelp, update on Senior Center:
Push for public safety procedure to be put in place.
Senior Center Saturday programming update – going great.
Lottery went well. Some classes are more popular than expected and they are looking into how to supplement
those courses to accommodate more people attending. They also will encourage people to fill out the google
forms vs paper form to save on data entry.
There has been difficulty finding people to shovel walkways, etc.
