Dear property Owner:
:please note that due to a recent review of a Title V Report, your property has been identified as
maintaining a working garbage disposal that is being used in conjunction with a septic system..
The North Andover Health Department strongly advises against using a garbage disposal with a
septic system, as it can significantly Jeopardize the system's longevity. While some septic systems are
specifically designed to handle the additional waste from disposals, your current system may not be
adequately equipped.
Continued use of the garbage disposal increases the risk ofpremature septic system failure, which
could necessitate a costly replacement. Therefore,the Health Department recommends that you
remove the garbage disposal:from your hone as soon as possible.
