Attendance:

Others Present: Kathy Shelp, Director of Senior Center; Cahla Ahlstrom, Outreach Manager
Call to order: 9:00 AM
Roll call by Lucius Michel
Minutes: Review of February 2026. Motion to approve by Jen. Seconded by George. Unanimously approved.
General Discussion:
Luke reached out to the town to get clarification on open meeting rules surrounding subcommittees, etc. A rep
from the town will hopefully come by next month to hear some of our process to help determine if and when we
need to post meetings.
Update from Kathy Shelp, update on Senior Center:
Saturdays at the Center have been very successful, this coming Saturday is the last one. It won’t be extended this
year given staffing/marketing efforts. But they’ll look to bring it back in the future. Saturdays takes priority over
exploring evening programming.
Update on how the lottery for scheduled programming has gone. Some just great, with only out-of-towners or late
registrars on the waitlist. Fitness has availability in newly opened classes, but willingness of attendees to attend a
different time slot has been difficult. Staff has been taking note of absences to get people off the waitlist and
correctly set expectation on policy to call in ahead of time vs simply being a no-show.
Club 90 is coming up which has been a really great celebration. Anyone age 90+ can join.

Conference on Aging May 1 and 2.
There is an updated strategic plan which was passed around and discussed.
o Discussion on how grant money is/will be spent.
o Discussion on where things stand and what’s been accomplished.
Adjournment at 10:16 A.M. Motion to adjourn by Tony, seconded by Remo. Unanimously agreed.
