Bond Release Alissa Koenig <a]issakoenig@yahoo.com> Mon,Aug 12, 2024 at 2:53 PM To: "jen rig ht@northandoverma.gov" <jenright a@northandoverma.gov> Hello Ms, Enright and the Planning Board, My name is Alissa Koenig and I live at 20 Methuen Ave. I hold an elected position, but I write as a private citizen.Although the planned agenda item does not include the entire bond release, as there is a hold back for the traffic study, I am requesting a lesser amount be released pending further traffic concerns that may not have been foreseen. Everyday at about 5:30pm traffic is at a near stop from Amazon down Osgood Street and down Sutton Street on the airport side toward the 495 on-ramp by Amazon workers being released from work. These workers prevent residents from entering or leaving side streets and homes off of and/or on Sutton Street. This includes my street, Methuen Ave. My Street is on the airport side of Sutton Street, I am unable to turn off or on my street between about 5:30 until about 6:30 everyday, I am blocked. The workers will inch forward and refuse to let me out to turn from Methuen Ave. onto Sutton Street. If I am able to squeeze through to turn left while being honked at and yelled at, my view is blocked from seeing traffic coming from the opposite direction creating unsafe turning conditions. It also happens if I am coming up Sutton St.from Main street and attempt to take a left onto Methuen Ave.; I am blocked from turning onto my street and the workers will continually inch forward to prevent me from turning. It has happened on numerous occasions to me, my family members, and to my neighbors. one neighbor has already had an accident with an Amazon worker while they were turning onto their street off of Sutton Street. The workers have been unnecessarily rude about the situation and the traffic has been a hassle and inconvenience. Traffic on Sutton Street during this time is extremely slow, if not at a complete stand still and the residents are intentionally being prevented from entering and exiting their homes. This so happens to be the same time many residents are attempting to return home from work and with fall sports resuming, families will be trying to get kids to practices at this time. This seems to be an unforeseen and unintended consequence of the Amazon facility. I suggest a traffic study and remedy be evaluated prior to a bond being released or there be a greater hold back. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Alissa Koenig 20 Methuen Ave. https:Hmail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ik=7c2eff6265&view=pt&search=aii&permmsgid=msg-f:l 807209015550885825&simpl=msg-f:1807209015550885825 1/1
