4. There are two existing parallel 8" force mains from the existing wastewater treatment
building to GLSD. The drawings do not indicate which farce main the new farce, ruins tie
into,(Utility plan V Drawing CU105)
Comment Response. Specific detail on the connection to existing infrastructure
will be provided upon obtaining local approvals and addressed in construction level
documents. The above will be included as a condition of approval for Lot B.
5. The drawings do not include design details for the following:
0 Ozzy properties Pump Station
O New Tenant Pump Station
0 Valve vault
0 Tie-in to force main to G LSD
The pump design conditions were not included and, as a result, the force main diameters
could not be verified.
Comment Response. Additional details will be provided in the construction level
documents. Should further specific information be required during the permitting
phase, please reach out to our office and detailed designs will be developed based
on the most current information available. The above will be included as a condition
of approval for Lots A and B.
6. The location of the two existing BT' force mains from the existing wastewater treatment
building are not shown accurately and are difficult to see,(Utility plan V Drawing CU105)
Comment Response: Based on record drawings and field observations, the existing
sanitary force main is shown in the correct location. To ensure the location of the
line is accurate, a call out has been added to sheet CU 105 which states the
following:
"Contractor to perform test pit to confirm the material, size, horizontal and vertical
location of the existing sanitary force main prior to construction."
7. The Ozzy properties pump Station is located in the middle of the paved paving lot either
under a parking space or in the travelled way, presumably with an access hatch. (Utility
Flan 111-Drawing CU103) It is recommended that the station be located in a non-paved
area not accessible by vehicles, The New Tenant Pump Station is not located in the
roadway or parking lot, (Utility Flan III-Drawing CU102).
Comment Response. The tizzy Properties pump station is located In the drive aisle
for the following reasons. The applicant would request the pump station to remain
in the location as shown.
- The pump station is located below grade,in a low traffic drive aisle and
in a.location where cars cannot park directly on top of access panels. if

elevation of approximately 19,0 at a manhole in Osgood Street at the point of tie-in to the
proposed municipal surer, (Utility Plans III &IV!Drawings CU 103& 04)The road surface
in Osgood Street where the manhole world be located is at an approximate elevation of
46.5. This would require an excavation of approximately 27.5 feet, which would not be an
acceptable depth for sewer construction at this location. Therefore the New Tenant
building would need to tie into the proposed Osgood Street severer by pumping.
Comment Response: Noted. A pump station for the new tenant to tie into the
future public sanitary main within Osgood Street is anticipated.
12. Should the New Tenant wish to tie into the proposed gravity sewer in Osgood Street in
the future, it is recommended that a force rain be constructed from the New Tenant
Pump Station to Osgood Street when the Distribution Facility is constructed. (Utility Plans
II I &IV Drawings CM 03 & 104) Valving and discharge piping within the pump station or
a valve vault could be configures[to accomplish and the corresponding valve closed.
Comment Responsez Noted. Installation of the appropriate infrastructure during
the construction of the distribution facility will be coordinated with possible future
connections in mind.
3. Assuming the Ozzy properties Building sewer line to the existing pump`[ng station must
remain in service during demolition of the existing building(s) and construction of the
proposed Distribution Facility, several apparent conflicts appear on the drawings as
follows:
utility Plan I I l-Drawing CU 103—The existing S" clay surer is not shown from
the existing SMH near D-1 MH-6 200 feet southwest to an existing SMH faintly
shun, then another 60 feet where it connects to the existing W" clay sewer.
(This can be deduced from information on Drawing V l ob).As a result, there
appear to be several conflicts as f olfows:
Comment Response: Due to inaccessible sanitary manholes and gaps in
available record data, not all existing sanitary lines were able to be shown
with accuracy on the drawings. Further investigation is required to
determine the exact location and routing of the existing sanitary service
laterals to the existing pump station.A note has been added to the sheet
CS002 under the Utilities section which reads as follows:
"Prior to site demolition, the contractor is to confirm the location and
routing of all sanitary line penetrations for the buildings to remain on
Lot A,known as buildings 20 and 21.A document shall then be prepared
by the engineer of record which identifies a method to provide active
sanitary services to buildings 20 and 21 throughout the construction
process. If the existing sanitary network is to be utilized throughout the
demolition and construction phases shall be identified; Eased on this

Utility Plan V Drawing CU105-The existing 8" clay sower crosses the proposed
UFW, gas and electric lines west of the proposed Distribution Facility and should
be checked for conflicts.
Comment Response; All fire lines and sanitary crossing in close proximity
locations have been checked for conflictsx
Utility Plan V Drawing CU1 05-The existing wastewater treatment facility and/or
pump station appears to be required to be demolished in order to construct the
proposed Distribution Facility but should remain in service in order to serve the
existing Ozzy Properties Building unless other arrangements are in place.
Comment Response:All fire lines and sanitary crossing in close proximity
locations have been checked for conflicts.
Utility Plan'-Drawing CU 105-The existing force main from the wastewater
lb treatment facility and/or pump station must remain in service in order to transfer
flow from the existing Ozzy Properties Building to G LSD unless other
arrangements are in place,
Comment Response; All fire lines and sanitary crossing in close proximity
locations have been checked for conflicts.
14. The details for suer and force main bedding on Utility Details 1, Drawing CU601
reference Wannacomet Water and Suer. This appears to be incorrect,
Comment Response: The details for surer and force main bedding have been
