Re: Developer Review— 1600 Osgood Street Property Redevelopment
Review Based on Revised Submittal Received 2/27/2020
Dear Mr. Willett:
As requested, Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. completed a review of information received on February 27,
2020. This information included a full set of Permit Site Plans and a Response Letter dated January 24, 2020 as
provided by Langan Engineering. The revised information provided by Langan addressed our initial review
comments (letter dated December 10, 2019. Items were addressed by updating the plans, will be included in the
project specifications, and/or will be included as conditions of approval for Lots A, B, C, and the proposed
subdivision Way. Minor comments on the revised submittal are noted below.
Item 11 — North Andover Fire Department (NAFD) review of fire lines and hydrant location/spacing. Comment
Response was Noted. Based on this comment response, it is our understanding that Langan is reaching out
directly to the NAFD for approval of the revised plans.
Item 14—Water Tower. Comment Response indicated the water tank will be used for fire suppression purposes
only. Our preliminary review of the plans did not find any interconnections between the domestic water lines and
the fire lines/water tank. However, we are requesting confirmation from Langan that no interconnection exists. The
fire lines and water tank shall be completely isolated from the domestic lines for potable water quality purposes.
Item 15—As-Built Record Drawings. The Comment Response indicates that the Developer shall provide As-Builts
to the North Andover Water Department (NAWD). As-Builts shall be provided to the NAWD electronically both in
PDF and AutoCAD (Release 2014 or later) format.
