HomeMy WebLinkAbout1806 Salem Street - NACC #371 Small Project Approval - Permits #NACC #371 - 1806 SALEM STREET 6/10/2026 4'001" CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT Community& Economic Development Division Ilir Kavaja 1806 Salem Street North Andover,MA 01845 June 12, 2026 1806 Salem Street, North Andover In-Kind Above Ground Pool Replacement Conservation Conditions of Approval,NACC #371 Pursuant to section 4.4.2 of the North Andover Wetlands Protection Regulations, the applicant/homeowner Hit Kavaja, filed for a Small Project Permit application under Category "l,", for work proposed at 1806 Salem Street,North Andover. The work involves: in-kind replacement of an existing above-ground swimming pool located in the rear yard of the property. The existing pool is a round above-ground pool approximately 30 feet in diameter and 52 inches in height. The replacement pool will be the same size and will be installed in the same location and footprint as the existing pool. No other work is proposed other than sand leveling under the footprint of the pool. The pool is greater than 100 feet from the bank of the pond (—155'), and is 75' from the stream that runs along the easterly side of the property During the June 10, 2026 the North Andover Conservation Commission (NACC) found this project to qualify as a Small Project Permit and voted to approve this project as proposed under Cate go 'L"for replacement of existing decks, regardless of size outside the 50' NBZ, subject to compliance with the conditions listed below. The project is approved only as it relates to the Conservation Commission and any and all other approvals should be obtained by the applicant/homeowner. All work shall conform to the following: RECORD DOCUMENTS: Small Project Filing Including: Application Cheeldist with supporting narrative and attachments, stamped received June 1, 2026; The following conditions are hereby mandated: CONDITIONS: 1. A pre-demolition site inspection shall be scheduled with the Conservation Department and the contractor to review means and methods of work, and project scope. 2. A post construction site inspection shall be scheduled with the Conservation Department to verify compliance. 3. This permit is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance. The applicant, homeowner and their contractors are advised that NO other work on the property is allowed under this permit. The NACC has -jurisdiction over all of the wetlands and associated 100-Foot buffer zones and 200 Riverfront Area to the Shawsheen River on site and any work that involves ground disturbance or changing the current conditions in these areas will requite permitting with the NACC. This includes, but are not limited to, house additions, pools, patios, decks, 1806 Salem Street—Small Project Permit Approval Category 11 Page 1 of 2 sheds, fences, garden beds, landscaping and bridge installation, tree or vegetation cutting/pruning.
